Winter is Not Over Yet

Another winter storm warning for tonight through Wednesday morning. So that feeling of spring I have been getting while out for a walk isn't true? :-) This time of year is always hard on those of us who enjoy the warmer months more than the cold. Garden catalogs only go so far in holding off spring fever.
We stayed home from the farm again to work this weekend. Hoping to get up there this coming weekend. Steve has his ski trip in a week and a half & we would like to go before that. Work keeps coming in though & we should take it while we have it, right?
Last night we went to my sister's house for the Super Bowl. It was fun talking, eating & watching the commercials.  Oh yea, & the game. We were talking about Etsy with my niece & were wondering what kind of luck people have had selling on it. I have thought about putting the dryer balls on it & my sister is making these really cute scarves. Has anyone had any experience good or bad with Etsy?
The weekends we are home, I have been enjoying the birds on our feeder. Here are a few shots from this weekend.

Even though I don't want squairrels eating all the bird seed, they sure are cute.

I have never heard of Etsy. I haven't clicked on your line to it yet but will. You have all kinds of pretty birds there! A squirrel came this morning and knocked mine off it's stand so I've got to go out there and refill it and secure it better somehow. Ugh. Today is sunny but, the new storm is coming this evening. RATS and double rats!! ...debbie

What beautiful birds! I love squirrels but we have too many martens over here and they eat all our squirrels. Martens are really beautiful too, but soo hard to see.

Better to take the job when You can, one never knows how the future looks like. But I do hope You can go to the farm soon!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

I have heard of etsy but never really went on it..I know there are many bloggers out there that sell. I have sold on Ebay but that was a few years ago and made some money..It wouldn't hurt to try...every penny you make is a penny more then you had before..

I am feeling the same with all this snow...UGh..up to 8 inches by late tuesday..then the winds which to me are worse then the snow because of the drifts..

The ground will be pretty wet when we start getting our grounds read in late march for planting..I don't know if that is good or not...

The birds are beautiful...I had a squirrel last week and haven't seen him since...he was so cute to watch..Had a wood pecker this morning...

Have a great day...Lisa

I read the title of your post "Winter is Not Over Yet" and I thought "Why should it be, it is still early February."

The phenonemon of people wishing for Spring the minute Christmas is over seems to grow every year and although I don't like the cold, but I do love the winter and the snow. People keep calling me crazy [for getting excited over the snow] - but why? It is a pretty season just like the others and I get so tired of people wanting Spring come January/February. And we are in VA.

Wishing for someting is legal in this country(?) :-)
All kidding aside...there are reasons to like (and dislike) all seasons. It is an individual choice. I don't "hate" winter. there are some joyful things about it just like all the other times of year. Driving in the snow with crazy drivers is not something I enjoy, having PTSD due to our accident.
Glad you like the winter SkippyMom. It is a good thing that people are free to express themselves in the way they want & have the right to. I am still wishing for spring though :-)
